# GitSyn > GitSyn is a home for creative work while it is still being made. People start a project in one of 15 disciplines, share progress as it happens, and publish the work in parts — chapters, tracks, episodes, releases — that others can read, watch or listen to. It is free to join and runs in any web browser at https://app.gitsyn.cc. GitSyn is for anyone who makes things, not only software developers: writers, musicians, designers, illustrators, photographers, filmmakers, comic artists, podcasters, journalists, game developers, researchers, teachers, founders and community organisers. Key facts: - Website: https://gitsyn.cc · App: https://app.gitsyn.cc - Projects are organised by discipline, with stages (for a novel: Concept, Drafting, Editing, Final Polish, Published) and named parts (chapters, tracks, episodes, releases, cuts, pieces, lessons, papers…). - A built-in reader shows chapters, articles and PDFs as pages with a page-turn, and a finished manuscript can be imported and split into chapters. - Syn is GitSyn's built-in AI assistant. It is opt-in, and AI involvement is labelled on posts. - Profiles lead with what someone has made. Follower counts can be hidden; projects cannot. - Contact: dembaduk@gmail.com ## Overview - [Home page](https://gitsyn.cc/): what GitSyn is, who it is for, how it works, and frequently asked questions - [Full text for language models](https://gitsyn.cc/llms-full.txt): everything in this file plus the disciplines, features and FAQ in full - [Public work on GitSyn](https://app.gitsyn.cc/llms.txt): live list of public projects, writing and people - [Everything public, in full](https://app.gitsyn.cc/llms-full.txt) - [App sitemap](https://app.gitsyn.cc/sitemap.xml) ## Policies - [Terms of Service](https://gitsyn.cc/terms) - [Privacy Policy](https://gitsyn.cc/privacy) - [Community Guidelines](https://gitsyn.cc/community-guidelines) - [AI Transparency Policy](https://gitsyn.cc/ai-policy): how Syn works and how AI use is disclosed - [Copyright Policy](https://gitsyn.cc/copyright) - [Child Safety Standards](https://gitsyn.cc/child-safety) - [Cookie and Local Storage Policy](https://gitsyn.cc/cookies) ## Optional - [The app](https://app.gitsyn.cc): public projects, profiles and posts
