Cookie and Local Storage Policy

This policy applies to GitSyn's web app and website. Mobile apps use comparable on-device storage described in the Privacy Policy.

Technologies used

GitSyn may use browser local storage, IndexedDB, caches, service-worker storage, and cookies or similar identifiers supplied by integrated services. They can store authentication sessions, security values, preferences, drafts, cached application files, and feature state.

Necessary and functional storage

Supabase authentication stores information needed to keep you signed in and refresh your session. GitSyn also stores security, consent, and routing state needed for sign-in. Blocking or clearing it may sign you out or prevent core features.

GitSyn may store language, theme, onboarding state, dismissed prompts, editor drafts, feed preferences, installation state, and cached data. Retention depends on the item, browser, and whether you clear site data or delete your account.

Diagnostics and analytics

GitSyn records first-party product events to understand feature use and reliability. Sentry may receive diagnostic identifiers and error information when monitoring is configured. GitSyn does not use third-party advertising cookies or sell browser activity for advertising.

Controls

Browser settings can delete or block cookies and site data. Clearing necessary storage may remove local drafts, cached files, preferences, and your session. Do Not Track has no uniform meaning; GitSyn honors legally recognized opt-out signals where required.
