Delete your GitSyn account

In the app

  1. Open GitSyn and go to your profile.
  2. Tap the settings icon.
  3. Choose Account actions > Delete account and confirm. Your phone may ask for Face ID, fingerprint or your passcode first.

The account is deleted straight away and you are signed out. If you signed up with Apple, GitSyn also asks Apple to revoke its sign-in.

Without the app

If you can't open GitSyn, email team@gitsyn.cc with the subject Delete my account, from the email address of the Apple, Google or GitHub account you sign in with, and include your GitSyn username. We check that the request comes from the account's owner before deleting it.

What is deleted

Deleting your account removes your profile and the content and files you uploaded to GitSyn, including posts, comments, projects, flashes, messages you sent, voice notes, Syn conversations and Syn memories.

As the Privacy Policy explains, some information may remain for a limited time in backups, security logs or provider systems before routine deletion, or where we must keep it for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or unresolved disputes. Content that others copied or reshared may remain in their accounts.
